PMS Moments

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

I have heard that there are two kinds of stress, good and bad. Good stress, if I’m not mistaken is not harmful; it allows you get things accomplished that you enjoy. On the other hand, bad stress is harmful; it can kill you if you don’t know how to manage it. Well, I have had my share of both. There are times I enjoy doing things for people because it’s what I enjoy doing, and then there were times when I felt pressured because it was expected of me. Even though I meant well and did what people wanted me to do, it was never good enough. The more I tried to please them, the worse I felt. I found that when I did what God told me to do I had peace; physically, emotionally and spiritually. I was revived and energized. However, when I tried to please people on their terms it made me physically, emotionally and spiritually sick. It didn’t matter whether it was at home, at work, or at church. There were days that I actually had headaches, nausea, along with vomiting, pains in my chest, and muscle pain from trying to work on my job with evil employers and co-workers, then there was taking care of my family, and trying to be there for others who didn’t give a “flying fig” about me: I didn’t want to get out of my bed or I was so frustrated and angry all the time I wanted to draw blood. That period in my life I called my “PMS Moments.” They were the moments when I literally allowed “People to Make me Sick.” It was quite a cycle; we all know that people can drain you.

I had to learn to “stay free” of other people’s opinions of me, and alleviate the problem by using the magic word “NO.” That is when I found out who was who. I had to stop talking on the telephone and letting people dump all their problems on me instead of them taking their problems to the Lord in prayer. I learned the hard way that as long as I let others come to me instead of going to the Savior, then I was interfering with what God was trying to do in their lives as well as my own.

Let’s face it, when we are in sin we want people to agree with us. We don’t want to change. We want to hear what we want to hear. We want to do what our flesh tells us to do. So we dump our trash on others instead of God. Then when things don’t work out the way we think they should we have someone to blame other than ourselves. We don’t want the Lord and Savior to rule and correct us. We just want a Savior so we can go to heaven …..ANY O’L HOW. “Not happenin Captain!” God don’t bless mess!

Now don’t get me wrong, I believe we should encourage people and help them through difficult times. The Bible says we should bare one another’s burdens; however, we should encourage with the Word and prayer. If you see or know about a brother or sister in need or is going through a difficult time, we should lend a helping hand or a listening ear. But not for foolishness! “When helping (paraphrasing) others is hurting YOU, then you should set boundaries” and put a stop to it. (Book: When Pleasing Others Is Hurting You: Finding God’s Patterns for Healthy Relationships by Dr. David Hawkins)

These days whenever I get stressed out, no matter if it is good or bad, I still have my “PMS Moments,” but now they are my “Praise My Savior Moments.” This helps me to feel clean and refreshed. I no longer feel like shedding blood all the time, but when I do feel that way, I put on the whole armor of God. I “P.A.D” myself by (Praying All Day) about the situation. We need to let the blood of Jesus flow through us or we will have a hysterectomy (His or Her Story Direct To Me) and feel empty inside. So, if you feel that you are allowing people to make you sick? I advise you to use….T.A.M.P.O.N.S, “Take A Moment and Pray ON it Saints.”

You had me going in the beginning. It wonderful how GOd gives you new eyes. (Eliminate Your Enemies Spiritually). The layman mind causes you to think one way( in plain sight) when GOD has elevated you to help others to look within spiritually. It is amazing how we take for granted the miracles of GOD like the formulation of a rainbow (Remember Angels Intercede Nature Bringing Omnipotent Word) and putting others in place to receive them.

Timing is always essential. Make sure you are in the right time zone.
