The Ultimate Sacrifice

Phl 4:19

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches and glory by Christ Jesus.

If I was a turkey what would I say?
Would I be proud to give my life for this special day?
To know that I brought so much joy to so many families;
filling bellies of those who didn’t have anything to eat.
Being the main attraction and the center of attention,
sitting on a lot of tables and having people mention
how plump, juicy, and golden brown I am;
knowing that I may have to share my spotlight
with a Honey baked ham.

Seeing the smiles of those who came together,
from near and far no matter what the weather.
I would say that I am not worthy of you worshiping me,
this was my purpose; why I came to be.
For I am just a creation of the Creator
a product of the most High God.
His gift was much greater,
I know it had to be very hard.

I would tell you to give thanks for all He has done.
He gave the ultimate sacrifice of His only begotten Son.
It’s not about the food, gifts, or the
shopping duirng the holiday season.
Let’s give thanks knowing that our Heavenly Father is able
to supply all your needs according to His
riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

WHAT ARE YOU THANKING THE LORD FOR?
